The difference between Christian/Jewish headcovering and hijab is that muslim hijab cover their neck all the way to their chin. Jewish and Christian veil usually do not cover the neck all the way to her chin.

Points: 1-We can see Hijab/Veil is for men also; Allah is ordering men to lower themselves from their insights. 2-To preserve their private parts by not miss using them. 3-The word here also is "absaar" meaning "insight" not "Aeen/eyes/gaze"

Points: 1-Since the Jews and Christian follow biblical laws according to which Hijab/Veil is the head gear. 2-Nuns wear head gear and Jews and Christian faith also orders women to wear head gear in order to show that they are submissive to their husband.

........where as in Islamic belief Hijab/Veil is for both men and women in which Allah is ordering women to wear gown on clothes for Hijab/Veil and not to do make-up, not to show the hidden zeenat/adornment except the obvious parts, to lower themselves from their insight, to preserve their private parts gaps, to strike their pockets and not to subjugate with the saying of any body i.e. to talk straight etc.
